Michael J. Sklar, 66, of Peoria, passed away at 7:18 a.m. on Tuesday, February 23, 2010, at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.
Mike was born on December 16, 1943 in Peoria, a son of Louis and Betty (Wohl) Sklar. He married Carol Jean Myers on August 24, 1977 in Old Fort, OH. They were later divorced.
He is survived by his children, Christina and Robert Sklar of Tiffin, OH and Tracy (Jeremy) Foster of Pensacola, FL; sister, Bonnye Mansfield of Peoria; and six grandchildren.
Mike was raised in the Jewish principles of faith. He formerly attended Western Illinois University in Macomb and enjoyed a career in sales.
Private family services will be held, with interment in Swan Lake Memory Gardens in Peoria.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Clary Funeral Home, 428 West McClure Avenue, in Peoria.
